...but the sad fact is that the social and economic situation in the Romania are so bad that people are suffering, and as far there are children involved. I feel that it is - as a human being - my duty to act...
INTRODUCTION - Angels Help Us Romania 
Angels Help Us Romania is an independent national humanitarian foundation. Founded by Alexandra Rotaru, AHU Romania helps people in need without regard for racial, ethnic, political or religious distinctions. The main purpose of AHU Romania is to put Christianity into practice by caring for others in need.
The Foundation does not have a lucrative activity but a humanitarian one. It focuses on non-profit charitable activity, serving the most noble human activities- charity, children rights in Romania, helping disadvantaged people in the society, social insurance, as well as to provide appropriate conditions for cultural and sport activities for children and young population in Romania.
AHU Romania aims to:
a) Meet and defend the needs of the disadvantaged, in Romania and abroad
b) Offer emergency assistance in the case of natural or man-made disasters
c) Offer long term help, to address the underlying problems resulting from natural or man-made disasters
d) Promote the development of people living in poverty by helping to meet their basic needs
e) Look after vulnerable groups, such as needy families, abandoned children, and people unable to care for themselves.
OUR MISSION IS TO:
REFLECT the character of God through humanitarian and development activities.
ACTIVELY SUPPORT communities in need through a portfolio of development activities are planned and implemented cooperatively.
PROVIDE assistance in situations of crisis or chronic disaster, and work toward the development of long-term solutions with those affected.
WORK through equitable partnership with those in need to achieve positive and sustainable change in communities.
BUILD networks that develop indigenous capacity, appropriate technology, and skills at all levels.
DEVELOP and maintain relationships with our partners, which provide effective channels for mutual growth and action.
PROMOTE and expand the equitable and participatory involvement of women in the development process.
ADVOCATE for and assist in the increased use of communities' capacities to care for and responsibly manage the natural resources of their environment.
FACILITATE the right and ability of all children to attain their full potential, and to assist in assuring the child's survival to achieve that potential.
