THE VOICE OF SILENCE - CRY FROM THE SOUL

I am Alexandra from Romania - I am 20, I love life, but I cannot fully enjoy it. After a cure with Kanamicina I have lost my hearing, and since then I live in the world of silence.

You may see my face and my smile, but the rest is SILENCE. Condemned to loneliness and silence, I speak to you with my soul and I hope to reach that beutiful human solidarity, my only ray of hope.

I desperately wish to be able to enjoy the music, the voices of my dear ones, to be able to tell someone my feelings, to love and to be loved.
I don't like the loneliness I live in. I like people, their company.

I thank God for everything he gave me - beauty, wisdom and a lot of artistic sense: I paint, I carve wood, and still I can't fully enjoy my life.

Please turn off the sound of your radio, of your TV, of your phone, ask those around you only to simulate the speech, without voice, and then you will understand my call for help.

I have never ceased to hope in a ray of light, that a chance will appear for me. This chance has appeared, but it may materialize only with your help.

My chance is the Cochlear implant, a surgical operation realized in Germany, at the H.N.O. clinic of the Freiburg University, by dr.Roland Laszig. The cost of the operation is 25.000 EURO.
